The Courier hosts The Menu Food and Drink Awards

November 6, 2018

The Courier is hosting the second annual The Menu Food and Drink Awards, a celebration of businesses and individuals across Courier Country who create products, dishes and tipples that are among the best in the industry.

In association with The Courier’s Saturday magazine, The Menu, the Food and Drinks Awards will take place at The Old Course Hotel in March 2019.  Guests will enjoy a five course gala dinner with each course being created by one of five top chefs from across Courier Country.  The chefs will be supported by rising stars of the industry – students from Dundee and Angus College and SRUC Elmwood College.

This year sees the introduction of a number of new categories including Best Craft Beer, Best Craft Distiller, Cocktail Bar of the Year and Best Newcomer.

The awards, which are free to enter, are now looking for nominees for all categories.

Catriona MacInnes, Acting Editor of The Courier, said, “Last year’s award ceremony was a huge success and we’re delighted to bring back The Menu Food and Drink Awards.  Courier Country has such a spectacular offering of food and drink so it’s only right to mark this with a high profile awards ceremony.”

The Menu Food and Drink Awards will take place on Thursday March 28, 2019, at The Old Course Hotel.  Judges will be announced in The Courier in the coming months.
