Appealing to an adult audience with a wide selection of hits from the 80s through to today, Original 106 presenters keep the north east entertained and up to date with everything relevant to life in the area. The hourly news bulletins have the finger on the pulse of local issues, sport, and business developments.

Original 106 weekdays kick off with Claire and Craig’s BIG Breakfast – playing all the music you love alongside big competitions and plenty of laughs to start the day. Martin Ingram is the man with the workday music including the popular “Top Ten at 10” feature. The Original 106 Lift Home with Stuart McCully keeps the hits coming alongside regular updates on the north east’s traffic and travel. Gemma McLean is at the helm of the Original 106 Evening Bit, and the day is rounded off with non-stop chilled-out tunes on the late night Lounge.

At the weekend, the emphasis remains on keeping the music and laughs going with Dave & Vanessa on Saturday mornings. On weekend evenings, the glitter-ball is switched on and your favourite dancefloor hits are played with the Original Party.
